Dog harness for dogs with deep chests and athletic builds

Many sighthound owners know the problem. You try one dog harness after another and none of them fits quite right. Either the harness slips forward, does not sit securely on the body, or restricts the dog’s natural movement. The reason is simple: most harnesses are designed for an average dog’s body and not for dogs with a deep chest and a slim, athletic anatomy.

Our sighthound harness was specifically developed for this body shape. Together with canine physiotherapists, experienced seamstresses and based on extensive real-life testing, we created an ergonomic harness that combines freedom of movement, comfort and safety.

This harness is especially suitable for larger sighthounds such as Whippets, Silken Windsprites, Salukis, Galgos, Podencos or other dogs with a similar body structure and deep chest.

High-quality materials for everyday life and adventure

For our harness we use only durable and high-quality materials.

The webbing is highly abrasion-resistant while remaining soft and flexible enough to comfortably adapt to your dog’s body.

The padding is made from softshell, which protects both coat and sensitive skin while remaining breathable and quick-drying. The material is water-repellent, durable and perfect for walks in all kinds of weather.

Handmade in our Berlin manufactory

Each harness is carefully handmade in our own workshop in Berlin. Our goal is to develop high-quality sighthound clothing and Whippet wear that is precisely adapted to the anatomy of sighthounds, thoughtfully designed for functionality and reliable in everyday life as well as during active outings, while also looking great.

How to find the perfect size

• Neck circumference: Measure at the base of the neck, where the neck meets the shoulders.
• Chest circumference: Measure slightly further back, around the level of the second-to-last rib, not at the widest part of the chest.
• Back bridge length: Measure along the top of the back from the base of the neck to the beginning of the back strap.

Measure twice if possible. If your dog falls between two sizes, choose the larger one for a comfortable and secure fit.

Size guide by weight (approximate)

Please note: These are general guidelines. Breed-specific differences (for example between Whippets and Galgos) and individual body shapes should always be considered when choosing the size.

• XS – for delicate Silken Windsprites or very small Whippets (approx. 7–9 kg)
• S – for Whippets, smaller Podencos or Windsprites (approx. 10–12 kg)
• M – for standard Whippets, Podencos or male Silken Windsprites (approx. 13–16 kg)
• L – for large Whippets, Podencos, smaller Galgos or Salukis (approx. 17–20 kg)
• XL – for Galgos, Salukis and larger Podencos (approx. 21–25 kg)

When measuring, make sure your dog is standing calmly and upright. Do not measure too tightly or too loosely. Aim for a natural, comfortable fit. Start by choosing the correct back length and then check whether the chest and neck measurements match the selected size. Your dog’s weight can also serve as additional guidance.

Important: The measurements in our size chart refer to the dog’s body measurements, not to the dimensions of the harness itself.

Despite careful measuring, it may happen that a size is not completely clear or that a product does not fit perfectly. Our model Hugo is a male Whippet, 1 year old, with a back length of 47 cm, a chest circumference of 59 cm, a neck circumference of 28 cm, weighs 12.9 kg and wears size M.
